California Vacation

A California vacation has a lot more to offer than beaches and movie stars. There are some beautiful views and breath taking architecture along with fabulous desert terrain and rolling mountain hills.

Yosemite National Park is 750,000 acres of forest with three developed areas--Yosemite Valley, Southern Yosemite, and Northern Yosemite. Located in Yosemite Valley, you will find the visitor's center and the Yosemite Museum and Indian Village. From here you can take a shuttle to the nearby campgrounds and lodging. Take the 16-mile drive to the top of Glacier Point, located in Southern Yosemite, and enjoy the fabulous breath taking views over looking the entire valley. Northern Yosemite is homes to many lakes including the Benson Lake, Peeler Lake, and the Green Treble.

If wine is your calling, you must see the vineyards in Napa. The Napa Valley Wine train offers a guided tour for sight seeing through the valley. If a train ride isn't for you or if you would like something a little more in depth, there are custom guided vineyard tours available. You can even take a hot air balloon ride above the valley on a California vacation.

If you are looking for history and fabulous architecture look no further than San Francisco for your California vacation. With the breath taking sites of the Golden Gate Bridge or a guided tour through Alcatraz San Francisco has plenty to offer on your California vacation. Visit the historic Grace Cathedral or ride the cable cars on the downtown streets for an authentic feel of history. Rent a car and take a drive down the windy Lombard Street that was built in 1922 and has eight angles per one city block. Take a drive over to The Painted Ladies of Alamo Square on your California vacation. These Victorian homes are over 100 years old and were spared from the fire that followed the earthquake in 1906.
