In Kyoto, they have registered as world heritage sites thirteen temples, three shrines and the Nijo Castle .

The big cities you will find during your Japan travel will offer sites of new world architecture, current cultural events, and an abstract of a modern world nestled inside of a rich historic country.

Let your Japan travel vacation take you into the gardens. Hama Rikyu is a fabulous garden in Tokyo. Its origins can actually be dated back over 300 years. It was previously the Tokugawa Shogun. Higashi Gyoen is a peaceful journey where you can absorb all the Japanese culture. With unique stepping-stones, winding paths, and a pond. this garden began 1600 years ago. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden was originally completed in 1906, but then destroyed in 1945 by World War II. In 1949, the gardens were open to the public.

While planning your vacation and Japan travel keep in mind there customs are very different and should be researched before your trip, just as you would your flight, hotel, and other travel accommodations that you make.
